Where do we start? I think it's safe to say that we have created a little buzz about opening a brewery in Sitka. Our original plan was to start the brewery in five to eight years. Now, various factors have shortened that time frame considerably, but we still want to do things the right way. First and foremost, the beer has to taste good. We're not trying to be the next big brewery to come out of Alaska, but we do want to provide Sitkans with beer that they are proud to call their own. We also understand that this is not the first attempt at opening a brewery in Sitka. Therefore, we are being meticulous about hiring the right people, buying the right equipment and finding the best site to build on. So why do we have shirts and hats already? We wanted to create a buzz and get the business started. Some people might say we are putting the cart before the horse, but we disagree. Our online sales go to support our beer making endeavours. It will enable us to do things like host beer tasting parties where we can gain valuable marketing research about our customers and their preferences in terms of beer. The first of these parties is tentatively scheduled for mid-December. As we solidify our plans, we'll make every attempt to keep you informed, which brings us to another good point.
